WHAT IS KISS MY?
Kiss My is an atypical crafted aperitif with carefully selected wines and fine distillates at its base. It’s an atypical vermouth in the sense that we not only use herbs and spices but also fresh fruits.
Kiss My is based on the handwritten recipes, elaborated by the grandparents of the Kiss My founders Niels & Wouter Vandekerkhove. The first recipes go back to 1958 and now have been recreated into a modern aperitifs.
HOW IS KISS MY MADE?
We carefully source and select wines, distillates, herbs, spices, peels and barks, working closely with growers and farmers to find the very best ingredients that our master craftsmen can work with.
Kiss My takes at least six weeks and up to six months to make & involves bespoke maceration, distillation, blending & filtration for each individual ingredient. It is then blended & bottled in Belgium.
WHAT DOES KISS MY TASTE LIKE?
There are currently three different flavour profiles of Kiss My. We suggest Kiss My is sipped neat or mixed (with sparkling wine, tonic, soda, ginger ale or as the base in cocktails).
Kiss My Rhubarb – Kiss My… Rhubarb is a Belgian aperitif with an infusion of rhubarb, citrus thyme and lemon verbena. This results in a rosé aperitif enriched by the sour taste of rhubarb, the freshness of citrus and a floral hint of rose and geranium.
Kiss My Blackberries – Kiss My…Blackberries is a Belgian aperitif with an infusion of fresh blackberries and fennel seeds. This induces the aperitif to acquire a ruby glow, hints of licorice and a fresh, slightly sour taste.
Kiss My Nuts – Kiss My… Nuts is a Belgian aperitif with infusions of young green nuts, cinnamon and clove. The result is a bright, brown-red aperitif, balancing the sweet and spicy tastes of nuts with just a hint of wood.
HOW DO YOU DRINK KISS MY?
All Kiss My flavours are best served neat over ice or with sparkling wine/tonic/soda/ginger ale, or as the base for surprising cocktails.
We always recommended Kiss My is served over ice in a measure to taste, partnered with a mixer, sparkling wine or neat.
To garnish, we suggest using a slice of grapefruit for Kiss My Rhubarb; an Orange twist or some fresh blackberries for Kiss My Blackberries; and a smoldering cinnamon stick for Kiss My Nuts – it makes all the difference!
